Kids learn Respect, Self-Control, Self-Discipline, Commitment, Perseverance... All in a Fun and Safe Environment!"
What are the benefits I can expect to see by my child particpating in Stryker Martial Arts' Karate Program?
The bottom line is that we modify kids behavior. As a matter of fact, I guarantee that we can modify your child's behavior within 10 minutes of meeting them. That is how powerful our program is and the positive influence we have on kids!
We have found that many parents have a hard time simply getting their kids to do what they want them to. We help the parents solve this problem. And we do it in a fun environment.
They will see their children learn the value of respect; saying things like “yes mom” and “thank you” and not things like “yea” or no thank you at all. You will also see your kids begin to clean up their room when asked, to brush their teeth without being told, and become all around better kids.
Plus our classes are "action packed" with fun drills and exercises that the kids really enjoy. No one is ever sitting on the sidelines at Stryker Martial Arts. There is very little downtime with our highly structured lesson plans and professional curriculum.
Here is an example of how we work with kids:
Why Stryker Martial Arts?
Stryker Martial Arts is SAFER! Safety is our #1 priority - No one gets hit or kicked!
Average School: Kids and Adults get punched, kicked, hit, and thrown to the ground
Stryker Martial Arts is BIGGER! Over 3,500 sqft of training space. Your child will have plenty of room to move on our mat. (We are throwing punches and kicks after all. If they don't have enough room, they will hit each other.)
Average School: 1,500sqft - 2,000sqft
Stryker Martial Arts is MORE CONVENIENT! Over 40 classes per week. Everyone has a busy schedule. This will give you ample opportunity to work around any prior commitments you might have.
Average School: 20 - 30 classes per week
Stryker Martial Arts is THE MOST POPULAR SCHOOL IN FAIRFIELD! Over 200 of your friends and neighbors train here and SMA is still growing! If we weren't great at what we do, we wouldn't have as many loyal and enthusiatstic students!
Average School: 100 - 200 students
Stryker Martial Arts has a PROFESSIONALLY TRAINED STAFF here to serve you.
When do kids usually start the martial arts?
Usually between the ages of 4 to 14. We do not train kids under the age of 4.
Are your kids and adult classes seperate?
Yes. We have strictly adult classes and we have age specific classes for kids. Therefore your child will be in with a group of kids that are of a similar age as they are.
We also have a family class that enables parents and children to train together.

Most families that train together wind up getting a considerable amount of value out of the program. Because the family trains together, the transition from the training floor to the home is easy and effortless. This way, what we teach at the dojo gets directly translated at home and the kids behavior changes rapidly!
How much are your classes?
$149 per month.
How do I get started?
Simple!
We have a Special Beginner Program which includes 3 Weeks of Lessons, a
FREE T-Shirt and FREE Pants! This program is only $79 and meant to
help you determine why Stryker Martial Arts is the best choice for your child's martial arts instruction!
(Please note: many schools offer a "free class" to try their program. The problem with this offer is that most schools put their "best foot forward" while the potential student is in the school. Once the student enrolls, things change. You don't want us to be a "rock star" for one class while you make your decision to enroll. You want to make sure that we provide a consistently Superior Martial Arts Experience. This is why we want you to try our program for 3 weeks.)
Simply send us an email at StrykerMartialArts@gmail.com and we will be happy to set up a time for you to enroll!

Here is what some parents have to say about the program:
"Tommy loves his karate and Stryker Martial Arts. His thorough enjoyment of the sport carries over into many of his other activities. He is gaining a strong sense of responsibility that comes with earned accomplishment. The fact that he begs me to practice his karate every night before bed shows that he truly loves what he is learning."

"My son had been taking a different style of martial arts for about 2 years when we decided to change schools. We visited many schools and was told that my son would have to start over at white belt. When I talked to the instructors at Stryker Martial Arts, they said he would be able to retain his rank as he caught up to the other kids. This was a great way for him to maintain his confidence through the transition. My son has continued to enjoy his experience at Stryker Martial Arts and wishes to continue as I had hoped. Fairness and Firmness are the attributes I look for. My son will continue at Stryker Martial Arts.

"Since my son has joined Stryker Martial Arts, his confidence level has increased dramatically. He is willing to try new things and participate in extra-curricular activities in school. He also exhibits more self-control and has become more responsible at home. This has been an extremely positive experience for my son and he continues to be enthusiastic. He loves coming to class.

"Dear Mr. Stryker,
I would like to thank you for having Stryker Martial Arts. It has been a great experience for my 5 year old son Benjamin, currently purple belt and my 4 year old daughter Macarena, she is a yellow belt, both working hard to become black belts in the future.
Ben started a year ago, and Macarena started 3 months ago, they are in the Black Belt Club, where they get to learn how to use their Nun Chucks together with other benefits. I have no trouble telling them to get ready for the class, they really like to go, and the most important is they both enjoy karate and always come out of class with a happy and positive attitude.
They have learned to take instructions and the class helps them with agility, discipline, self-confidence, self-respect, coordination, responsibility, commitment, along with some other things. I enjoy watching them line up to get their stripe after each class, and they will count how many they have and see how close they are for their next belt. For my kids, their goal is to get to black belt.
I really respect what a great job you have done at your school, it has allowed my children to participate in a physical training program that is effective, goal oriented and enjoyable. You have been outstanding with a special ability to mix just the right amount of fun into the program to keep the smaller children interested, while gradually introducing discipline and structure.
I do not know of any other class that my kids participate in where there is as much energy and enthusiasm as put into every class. I have also been pleased at how much general body conditioning they do in general Karate moves that they learn.
Thank you again for running a terrific school.
Sincerely,
- Macarena Kelly - Fairfield CT
"Dear Mr. Stryker,
Fortunately, we live in a town that offers a wide variety of after school athletic programs to kids. I have taken advantage of the offerings and given my children a chance to try many of them. When it came time to narrow down the choices, the Karate program at Stryker Martial Arts was at the top of both of my children’s’ list. They couldn’t wait to sign up and be a part of the team at Stryker.
Now, 2-1/2 years into the program, my daughter, Taylor at age 11 and my son, Cooper at age 9 are 2nd degree brown belts who are determined to accomplish their black belt training. They have a great time at classes and really look forward to learning and practicing their techniques. Both kids have developed a sense of physical and mental confidence from their Karate classes. I have seen them gain a sense of grace and sharpness to their movements. I also see a sense of accomplishment on their faces – they are learning to have pride in hard work they do both in Karate and in life. I know that they will carry their training from the Stryker Karate program into their futures.
